Design an original piece inspired by the icons, heritage and character of Stourbridge and the surrounding area!

Help us reimagine our iconic mural!
Our top-floor windows have been home to a striking mural for many years – a colourful celebration of the region’s most loved landmarks, and spotted daily by thousands of motorists on the Stourbridge ring-road.
…But it’s s time for a new chapter, and we’d love you to be part of it.
We’re inviting artists of every kind – professional, hobbyist, or somewhere in between – to design an original piece inspired by the icons, heritage and character of Stourbridge and the surrounding area. All styles and approaches are welcome; there’s no “right” way to interpret the brief.
Submissions: your design needs to be panoramic, as per this plan >>
(for non-professionals, please ensure your design will print at 10cm h x 40cm w when printed on A3 paper).
Prizes: the winning artwork will earn the selected artist an incredible £2,000 commission fee! It will also be enlarged into a bold, large-scale mural displayed across our top-floor windows – Stourbridge’s newest piece of public art, and one we hope will quickly become a much-loved local landmark. We’ll also use it on our corporate stationery, including letterheads, business cards, and promotional postcards.
There will also be 3 runner-up prizes of £100 each for the designs that the judges feel are highly commended.
Closing Date: Entries need to be received by 5pm Friday 27 November 2026.
Judging will commence from 30 November 2026.
